The Saxon hotel in Johannesburg came to Studio Black Tomato with the goal of being the defining luxury resort in Johannesburg. Unhappy with their website functionality, navigation and aesthetic, they needed a refreshed digital presence that fixed these issues while also fully showcasing their other offerings: luxury villas, a refurbished spa, an exclusive Private Game Reserve and incredible ties to Nelson Mandela.
Our solution was to create a beautiful new website with a clear user journey, highlighting the Saxon’s different offerings through engaging, helpful content and clear calls to action, all packaged in a clean and elegant design. With a new website in place, we were able to harness the Saxon’s rich history and innovative offerings, from internationally recognised chefs to partnerships with high-end alcohol brands and publish lifestyledriven, shareable content across e-communications and social media platforms. This allows the Saxon to crucially drive bookings by: 1. Adding value and creating re-engagement for existing customers // 2. Engaging a far broader demographic of luxury lifestyle consumers.
