A serendipitous meeting between Studio’s Nick and the founder of CRIS Cancer Foundation on a plane to Madrid sparked a conversation. Lola’s personal experience with cancer had led her to set up the charity, and she was looking to create a video that would engage and encourage guests to donate at the annual ball. Here she was talking to someone who headed up an agency with an expert video team. We were incredibly excited about taking on the pro bono project.

With the gala event themed ‘A Night To Dream’, we proposed a video concept that focused on the positivity of the charity’s work to take us closer to the goal of finding a cure for cancer. We want it to be powerful and uplifting, inspiring guests to give generously to a cause that is actually making a difference.

Our dedicated video team produced a one minute video that took the audience on a journey. Using powerful narration alongside compelling cinematic visuals, we showcased everyday actions and achievements, to reflect the progression being made to reach a cancer-free future. Our ‘So Close’ treatment and storyboard was so well received that CRIS decided to make it the core message on the night. In turn, the foundation almost doubled its 2016 total, raising almost £500,000 this year; the most successful annual ball in its history. We feel immensely proud to have been part of that.
